Mothers Day Gathering For All Life, May 2004
Photo Gallery, Friday, May 7 - Saturday, May 8:
Mother's Day Gathering for All Life
A Gathering was held on Western Shoshone Land across from the Nevada Test Site to stand in solidarity with the Western Shoshone Nation in protest to the violation of the
1863 Treaty of Ruby Valley
and the continuing talk of resuming Nuclear Weapons Testing on this land.
The weekend consisted of working together to build community, gaining ideas to take back to our home communities to help build the movement, entertainment, and non-violent direct action.
(The photographers had to leave before the Sunday Direct Action.
If anyone has any photos to share, please send them to: Dee)

Art work in the tunnels going under the freeway to the test site. Government officials come in and attempt to cover up the artwork by painting over it, but as you can see here, it becomes uncovered and new artwork surfaces.
